About Us
Hill Tribe Productions is a creative and friendly TV and video production company based in South West England but operating nationwide, producing film, video, TV and media content for clients across the UK and abroad.
We are made up of a core group of people who understand and fully appreciate the power of visual media. Our belief comes from experience: together we amass over 40 years of experience working in broadcast television (ITV, BBC, Channel 4, FIVE), corporate films, commercials and digital platforms including viral and web video productions.
For us, it’s not just about the pictures – it’s about really listening to what our clients want. We are proud that we pay careful attention to our clients and take the time to understand what they want to achieve, so that we deliver an outstanding and effective product every single time.
It also helps that we’re a relatively small company — so you’ll have a one-to-one point of contact and relationship with a member of the team throughout the production.
Robbie – MD & Creative Director
Robbie has been involved in Television and Video Production since he left school.
From the age of 18, he worked his way up through the ranks from runner and tea-boy to researching, assistant producing, directing and series producing. He has worked on two Royal Television Society Award winning series and has been nominated for a further two. Thanks to his extensive work experience, not only does he make truly great films but he also makes a cracking cup of tea.
Hill Tribe is his realisation of a life long ambition.
Suzie – Head of Production
Suzie has vast work experience across several media sectors, having written, presented and produced in print, broadcast and digital platforms. On top of that, she’s quite handy with a camera too.
Having worked on TV commercials and a number of television series, Suzie works on many of our corporate projects, not just cause she’s a whizz at understanding and communicating our clients’ sometimes complex and sensitive corporate messages but also because she’s unflappable, an expert clock-watcher and ensures all our productions and shoots run timely and smoothly.
Natalie – Marketing Manager
Natalie is an extremely experienced TV Production Manager, having first worked in the programming department for a television broadcaster and latterly for an independent production company where she production managed and co-ordinated several well-known series such as the Rick Stein series.
Having liaised between crew members on the road, commissioning editors in London and customs officials in far-flung places her communication and organisational skills are exceptional.
Plus she is one of the loveliest people you could ever hope to encounter.
Jamie – Camera / Director
Jamie is a freelance cameraman/director who works closely with Hill Tribe Productions.
Vastly experienced, his work encompasses a wide variety of topics from filming at Le Mans Endurance to Easy Cruise and the BBC’s Through Hell and High Water documentary. He’s a genius behind the lens and loves using the latest technology and equipment available in the industry.
On the rare occasions he’s not behind the lens, he plays football and then frets about his sore knees afterwards.
