From My Farm Gets Fresh On Film!

From My Farm kitchen set

We had a fantastic day filming with the team at From My Farm who commissioned a series of video recipes as they provide the perfect opportunity to introduce some of their growers and showcase their produce.

The cooking was led by Charlie Falkingham who founded From My Farm to promote regional produce and to support British farmers in their quest to look after the countryside and grow produce for future generations to enjoy.

Sally Westwood brought some purple sprouting broccoli from her farm in Yorkshire to create a colourful and nutritious dish while Matt Rawson from Pasture Farm supplied some asparagus and demonstrated a quick and easy way of cooking it which didn’t involve steaming or boiling and was utterly delicious.

Peter Harding, Farm Manager of Rob Stacey’s Farm, provided beetroot to make a colourful salad dish while Janet Oldroyd Hulme, fourth generation of rhubarb growers, paired up with Charlie to make a rhubarb and custard tart.

Chris Heron, leader of Slow Food Bedford, also joined Charlie to cook a locally sourced dinner, featuring roast belly of pork with spring greens and mash. And yes – our mouths were watering throughout the day!
